The machine park of REMAL Sp. z o.o. has been expanded with another modern machine – the CORMAK C1325 BSP CNC Milling Machine. This equipment opens up completely new production possibilities for us and significantly broadens the scope of services we provide. Below, we present a detailed description of this machine – its construction, technical parameters, and real machining capabilities.

Impressive working area – large formats without compromise

One of the most eye-catching features of the CORMAK C1325 BSP is its working area measuring 1300 x 2500 mm. This space allows for machining large-format materials without the need for splitting, repositioning, or multiple clamping operations. In practice, this means that a full MDF board, a plywood sheet, or a large plastic panel can be machined entirely in a single machine cycle.

For customers, this translates into something very specific: shorter lead times, lower risk of errors at joints, and consistency of the detail along its entire length. In serial production environments, where repeatability and speed are essential, this is a difference visible both on the invoice and in the delivery schedule.

The maximum spindle working height is 350 mm, providing flexibility for machining elements of considerable thickness – not only thin sheets but also more massive material blocks.

5.5 kW spindle and 18,000 RPM – power where it matters

The heart of this machine is a spindle with a power output of 5.5 kW, capable of reaching rotational speeds of up to 18,000 RPM. The adjustable speed range extends from 4,500 to 18,000 RPM, allowing cutting parameters to be adapted to the specific material and type of machining – soft MDF requires different milling conditions than hard Dibond or dense PVC materials.

The spindle is air-cooled, which makes the machine suitable for long, uninterrupted working cycles without the risk of overheating or the need for technological breaks. In a production environment where the machine operates for many hours a day, this is a key advantage directly affecting productivity and the durability of the equipment.

Tool mounting is handled using ER32 collets – one of the most popular and proven standards in CNC machining, ensuring secure and repeatable clamping of milling cutters across a wide range of diameters (supported sizes: 1/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 5–6 mm). The set also includes a tool height measurement sensor, which automatically calibrates the working depth – eliminating one of the most common sources of error associated with manual cutting depth adjustment.

Mechanical construction – solidity as the foundation of precision

The CORMAK C1325 BSP is built on a welded steel frame with cast iron components. This design ensures the massiveness and rigidity absolutely essential for high spindle speeds and intensive operation. Vibrations, deflections, and mechanical backlash are enemies of precision – a heavy, well-designed frame minimizes their impact on machining results.

The X and Y axes are guided on HIWIN rack rails – from a Japanese manufacturer whose linear components are among the world leaders in terms of accuracy and durability. All three axes move on linear guide rails, while the linear bearing system is based on trapezoidal rails. This combination ensures smooth, precise movement in all directions, without backlash and with full positioning repeatability.

All axes are driven by SERVO motors – unlike common, less expensive stepper motors, servo motors offer feedback control and active position correction in real time. This means the machine “knows” exactly where the tool is at every moment of operation and reacts to deviations before they can affect machining quality.

The total machine weight is 980 kg – this mass is not accidental. It is precisely the size and weight of the structure that determine stability during operation at high speeds and feed rates.

DSP control – intelligence at the heart of the machine

The machine is equipped with a DSP (Digital Signal Processing) controller featuring a dedicated processor and its own operational memory. This is an industrial solution that operates independently of a PC – once the machining program is loaded, the machine can work autonomously without requiring a constant connection to an external computer.

The controller’s software resolution is 0.001 mm – one micrometer is a level of precision at which most materials and tools are no longer able to reveal any difference. In practice, this means that projects requiring extremely fine details, precise edges, or complex patterns are executed with a level of accuracy unattainable through manual machining.

A particularly valuable feature is the memory function for the last G-code path. In the event of a power failure, accidental shutdown, or any other unplanned interruption, the controller remembers the stopping point and allows machining to resume exactly from that location. In industrial production, where an interrupted and unrecoverable cycle means loss of material and time, this function has real economic significance.

The CORMAK C1325 BSP is designed for precision machining of a wide variety of materials:

  • Wood and wood-based materials: solid wood, chipboard, MDF, OSB, plywood – from furniture manufacturing and industrial carpentry to templates and production molds
